Leaf updates 2009
As promised! Click the links or thumbnail images for complete update and more photos. Be sure to read the accompanying article at In This Week!
(Out-of-staters: I’m posting these here because it’s really hard to find online Utah leaf updates that are specific about location and date. I hope you can still enjoy/envy the pretty trees).
Oct. 2: Lake Blanche trail
Big Cottonwood Canyon between storms this weekend. It probably looks very different now!

Some nice-looking maple on the way back down the trail.
Sept. 29: Millcreek Canyon
Sept. 28: Solitude
Back up Big Cottonwood Canyon for a hike around Silver Lake, Twin Lakes and Lake Solitude.
Sept. 26: Cascade Springs
A return to the springs two weeks later. It’s fun to compare.
Sept. 26: Alpine Loop
A drive and short hike, American Fork Canyon to Horse Flat.
Sept. 25: Guardsman Pass – Midway
A drive past Wasatch Mountain State Park.
Sept. 25: Big Cottonwood Canyon – Guardsman Pass
A fall drive and hike at Brighton.
Sept. 24: Catherine Pass
Hiking in Albion Basin, Little Cottonwood Canyon.
Sept. 19: The Cottonwoods
Little and Big Cottonwood canyons up to Albion Basin and Guardsman Pass.
Sept. 13: Cascade Spring
Near the Alpine Loop, between American Fork and Provo canyons.

Thanks a lot! My sister in law is in town for the weekend and we wanted to get pics of our family in the fall colors. Pressed for time didn’t have a chance to scout lots of places, your pics helped a ton. Thank you again
